Part of The Unexplored Wilderness — Clay Smith's ongoing series born from a 2020 research residency in Jordan, where he worked in deliberate isolation using materials gathered from local souks: canvas, spices, and fabric dye, alongside Dead Sea Mud and water collected from the River Jordan's Baptist Site. The Jordan Mines II shares the series' excavated, geological quality — deep ochres, burnt reds, and blacks that feel pressed out of the earth rather than painted onto a surface. Each piece in this series is distinct; no two carry the same charge.

Medium: Mixed media (souk materials, Dead Sea Mud, fabric dye on wood). Dimensions: 26cm x 23cm. Beautifully framed, ready to hang. One-of-a-kind original, cannot be reproduced. Certificate of Authenticity included. International tracked shipping in custom wooden packaging.
